Flight 50 has a pretty rough time above the ocean. Suddenly a voice comes over the intercom : "Ladies and gentleman, please fasten your seat belts and assume crash positions. We have lost our engines and we are trying to put this baby as gentle as possible down on the water."

"Oh, stewardess! Are there any sharks in the Ocean below?" asks a little old lady, terrified.
"Yes, I am afraid there are some. but not to worry, we have a special gel in the bottle next to your chair designed especially for emergencies like this. Just the gel onto your arms and legs."
"And if I do this, the Sharks won't eat me?" asks the little lady.
"Oh, they will eat you all right, only they won't enjoy it so much."

Among the ensuing forest of raised hands, one man sits motionless. When asked what he would do, he replies, "I would be quite content to stay onboard. With this team's software, the plane is unlikely to even taxi as far as the runway, let alone take off."

Avril Lavigne, Deryk Whibley 'Strongly Deny' Marital Problems

Despite anything you might have read, Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley's marriage is apparently just fine, thank you. That's according to a statement posted Tuesday on Whibley's band Sum 41's MySpace page, under the title "Totally False Gossip," denying a report in the National Enquirer that his two-year marriage to Lavigne was on the rocks, and that he had recently put his career on the back burner "in favor of partying." "The National Enquirer ... [has] issued a gossip story surrounding Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 and his wife Avril Lavigne. For the record we strongly deny the inference of marital problems between Avril and Deryck," the statement reads. "We also strongly deny the National Enquirer claims of any other liaisons. Deryck has in fact been traveling through Asia performing with Avril as evidenced by the numerous YouTube videos."

BOARDING FROM WHAT GATE ?

At the airport for a business trip, a man settles down to wait for the boarding announcement at gate 35.
Then he hears the voice on the public address system saying, "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Lion Flight 570 will board from Gate 41."

So

he picks up his luggage and carries it over to Gate 41. Not ten minutes later the public address voice tells him that Flight 570 will in fact be boarding from Gate 35.
So, again, he gathers his carry on luggage and returns to the original gate. Just as he is settling down, the public address voice speaks again: "Thanks you for participating in LION's physical fitness program". :) :)

When an airliner encounters severe turbulence in flight, the captain urgently announces, "Ladies and Gentleman, we are going to have an emergency landing. Please be seated and fasten your seatbelt,"

Immediately, the vibration stops. A passenger then hastily emerges from a lavatory. Knowing that he has been a long time in the lav, a stewardess asks him, "Are you all righht, Sir?" You were there awfully long ! It is good thing the turbulence has stopped now!"

Emma Watson Puts Acting on Hold to Become a "Proper, Proper Nerd"

The famous Harry Potter Star, Emma Watson, has said that she really wants to go back to University in 2009 and continue with her studies like a “proper, proper nerd” as she has called herself. Thus Emma would put her acting career on hold.

Emma Watson has also told the China Daily online "For someone who has missed as much school as I have, I want to go back and discover what else there is. I always loved school - I was a proper, proper nerd. I just want that back again,"

The 19 year old “Harry Potter” actress, was supposed to be going to study in the prestigious Yale University in September, said: "I never thought that I would want to go to America for university. As a child, I aspired to go to Oxford or Cambridge, because that's where my parents went. When my dad talks about his time there, he says it was the most incredible experience."

Because of that, Emma - who plans to study history, politics, English, French and art, - will leave her acting career on hold and focus on her studies.

"Since I haven't been in school since July, I've only now realized how much I miss it. I don't make time for it now, and you really have to sit yourself down and think about it and do it. As much as I could, when I wasn't filming, I would go to school. When filming, I would send all of my work back to be marked by my teachers. As I got older, though, it was harder to slip in and out." She has said to the Interview Magazine.

Emma is currently filming the last “Harry Potter” movie, “The Deathly Hallows” planning to release Part 1 in 2010.

Emma Watson, who carved a niche for herself in the film industry with the ‘Harry Potter’ flicks, has proved that she is academically gifted too, as she has won a place in both Yale and Cambridge University.

As Emma was keen to complete her education, she had applied in multifarious universities.

However, she was surprised to find herself a place in both Yale and Cambridge.

She is facing difficulty deciding whether to study in America or stay close to her family and work by accepting the offer from Cambridge, reports Contactmusic.

Although Emma has decided to study, she will be continuing her role in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise.

Meanwhile, Emma was also in news for revealing her inhibition about her onscreen kiss with co-actor Rupert Grint. (ANI)

Emma Watson tipped to be ‘Greenpeace’ global ambassador

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has reportedly been approached by environmental campaign group Greenpeace to become their global ambassador, after declared her love for clean environment.

The decision to make her the global ambassador at Greenpeace comes after she publicly declared: “I cannot not be green.”

The ‘Harry Potter’ actress is an apt choice, as she revealed that she is a very eco-friendly human being.

“I did my end of school project on global warming and Hurricane Katrina,” the Telegraph quoted Emma as saying.

“My car is electric, I recycle, I take public transportation, I try not to buy and drink bottled water. I’m not perfect, but it’s something I feel strongly about,” Emma added.

A spokesman for Greenpeace revealed that Watson would be “perfect” as an ambassador for the organization.

“Emma would be perfect for us. She’s posh, pretty, brainy and committed. She’s also not too star struck to care if it’s seen as vaguely controversial. She would really help,” the spokesman stated. (ANI)

‘Harry Potter’ actress Emma Watson cannot wait to dig into her books and go back to being a proper, proper nerd.

The 19-year-old, who rose to prominence playing Hermione Granger in the hit wizard series, is due to begin college at the esteemed Yale University in September.

The French-born British star, who would study history, English, French, politics and art, revealed she wanted to be a geek again, reports the ‘China Daily’.

She told Interview magazine: "For someone who has missed as much school as I have, I want to go back and discover what else there is. I always loved school - I was a proper, proper nerd. I just want that back again."

She continued: "Since I haven't been in school since July, I've only now realised how much I miss it. I don't make time for it now, and you really have to sit yourself down and think about it and do it.
