Katy Perry and Chris Martin help Japan aid efforts

Stars including Katy Perry and Chris Martin have donated memorabilia to a charity auction which aims to raise money for the relief effort in Japan.

Kylie Minogue, The Jonas Brothers, Smashing Pumpkins' star Billy Corgan and Iron Maiden have also given personal items for the eBay auction.

Pop star Perry, 26, has handed over a cupcake trampoline stage prop from her California Dreams world tour, while Chris, 34, has given his jacket from Coldplay's 2010 Viva La Vida world tour.

Jeff Bridges' signed guitar and a Ferrari 412 seen in Daft Punk's film Electroma are among the items also up for grabs.

The first phase of the auction finishes on April 15 and the second half begins on April 11
