The Na'vi ain't got nothing on The Smurfs. Katy Perry will lend her bubbly voice to the blonde 'n blue character of Smurfette in the upcoming 3-D film version of the popular '80s cartoon. Smurfette was the only female in a colony of blue creatures!

Voiceover veteran Hank Azaria, known for lending his larynx to several of The Simpsons characters, will voice evil antagonist Gargamel. The movie is shooting now and is due to hit multiplexes in 2011. The film's setting is New York City, with actor Neil Patrick Harris as the live action lead. George Lopez has also been cast in the film.Did you used to eat Smurfs cereal? Who should lend their voice to the other lead character, the gravelly-throated patriarch Papa Smurf?
