Spotted: Forget It, Katy Perry — It's Chinatown

very day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

There are plenty of hotly-anticipated albums coming out in 2010, but the list of fever pitch-worthy records is relatively short. There is a lot of buzz for Christina Aguilera's latest release, as well as whatever new work Eminem delivers. The upcoming album from Katy Perry is also on that list, as one of the world's most dangerous pop stars will be back with another batch of tracks. So far, we know that she has been collaborating with a number of different writers and performers, including Rivers Cuomo, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, The-Dream and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. In the time between her breakout debut One of the Boys and now, she has also become a coveted collaborator herself, lending her pipes to hit singles by 3OH!3 and Timbaland. And of course, she has her upcoming nuptials to two-time MTV Video Music Awards host and "Get Him to the Greek" star Russell Brand. Even with all that going on, she managed to find time for a haircut. She was spotted in the Chinatown section of New York City on Tuesday (April 13), sporting shorter, darker locks than usual. Perry wasn't the only star out on the town, as George Lopez and David Beckham also cheered on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center.
